Paolo Smali was born in Belluno in 1969. He moved to Venice in 1987 where he attends regular courses at the Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 1991. He studies drawing and painting with Master Luigi Tito. Work between 1993 and the 1996 in the painting studio granted to him by the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation, in Palazzo Carminati. In 1994 begins to exhibit as a painter and engraver. He lives in Venice on the Giudecca island.
