Medhat Shafik

Medhat Shafik born in 1956 in El Badari in Egypt, has lived and worked between Milan and Cairo since 1976. He graduated in 1980 in painting and in 1985 in scenography at the Brera Academy in Milan.

Over the years, his work has received multiple awards and recognitions, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 1995 and the Cairo Biennale award in 2001.
